Nancy Byron

Music, Foreign Languages

Nancy Byron has happily taught both music and foreign languages at Eldorado Emerson since 2003. The classes she currently teaches are middle school and high school Japanese, PK-2nd grade music and PK-3rd grade Spanish. Mrs. Byron has a great appreciation for cultural diversity, having grown up in a bilingual Japanese/English-speaking household, spending all of her childhood summers in Japan and living for two years in Taipei, Taiwan.

In college, Mrs. Byron studied English and Japanese. As a music teacher, Mrs. Byron brings passion and professional experience to her classes. She is trained in both the Orff-Schulwerk approach and Kodaly method of music instruction. She is also a published songwriter, a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. Further, she has worked as a vocal arranger for independent recording studios throughout Orange County and gives private piano lessons.
