Music, Foreign Languages
Nancy Byron has happily taught both music and foreign languages at Eldorado Emerson since 2003. The classes she currently teaches are middle school and high school Japanese, PK-2nd grade music and PK-3rd grade Spanish. Mrs. Byron has a great appreciation for cultural diversity, having grown up in a bilingual Japanese/English-speaking household, spending all of her childhood summers in Japan and living for two years in Taipei, Taiwan.
In college, Mrs. Byron studied English and Japanese. As a music teacher, Mrs. Byron brings passion and professional experience to her classes. She is trained in both the Orff-Schulwerk approach and Kodaly method of music instruction. She is also a published songwriter, a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. Further, she has worked as a vocal arranger for independent recording studios throughout Orange County and gives private piano lessons.
